The Simcoe Muskoka District Health Unit, in collaboration with several community partners, has launched simcoemuskokaonthemove.ca.
It’s a new section on its website designed to promote active school travel as a safe and healthy choice for students and families.
The launch coincides with International Walk to School Month in October.

Kids need at least 60 mins of daily physical activity to be healthy. Walking/wheeling to school helps meet that goal. Regular exercise helps build healthy hearts, bodies & brains. Take the bus? Walking to & from the bus stop has the same health benefits. https://t.co/vyXmBMGx9d pic.twitter.com/AAgxjyyYP0
