Midland Power Utility Corporation wants its customers to be aware of a phone scam.
MPUC says scammers are using automated calls to contact customers threatening hydro disconnection if immediate payment is not made.
The utility says it currently does not use automated calls.
If you receive an such a phone call, hang up immediately and call MPUC.
