CFB Borden in Barrie is letting you know not to worry.
The base says soldiers from the Canadian Forces Logistics Training Centre’s Ammunition Technician course will be conducting controlled detonations at CFB Borden on Aug 13th and between August 17th and October 23rd.
This will not pose any risk to the local population or infrastructure.
The base says safety standards are in place and will be observed strictly.
Up to 20 detonations will happen daily, but not on weekends between 8 am and 5 pm.
